  - The expenses of the president’s residence and office has been considerably reduced.
  - Criticizing and protesting against the government do not amount to rebelling against it and being arrested.
  - No political opponent of this government has been arrested for political reasons and measures have been taken to stop torture of detainees.
  - Unlike your days, private broadcasters are not threatened for what they broadcast.
  - To minimise corruption, the government assigned the Ministry of Finance and Treasury to issue all government cheques and cash payments.
  - Government submitted Taxation on Business Profit Bill and Administrative Bill on Taxation to the parliament.
  - Opened opportunity for impromptu religious sermons. Formed Fiqh Academy.
  - Established Employment/Labour Tribunal and appointed members.
  - Became a member of ILO.
  - Pay hike for civil servants.
  - Started giving allowances of up to Rf2000 for people over 65 years age.
  - Sent an Amendment Bill on import/export to reduce import duty, to the People’s Majlis.
  - Promised 1,100 flats in Male, 7000 flats in atolls.
  - Provided health insurance to people registered as poor and all over 65 years of age.

  i also believe this government is v young. its nw only 6 months. but i think nothing wrong in highlighting the facts which the government has done wrongfully.

  we should criticize he government. cox it only discourages the wrong doings and encourages good. this article is based on current goverments promises. this type of article is called one sided. this is most common type of writing we see today.
